Oil change today

Well I did my first oil change today on the G. Another improvement over my '03 was the ease to getting to the oil pan and filter. In the '03 you have to remove the whole protection cover. With the '07 you just have to remove 4 screws and the panel sort of flips down so you don't have to remove the rest of the cover.

From there it was easy to drain the oil and replace the filter. First they fixed the oil stick location and now this, they are getting smarter.

By the way anyone else notice how beaten up the chrome grill is getting? I only have just over 3,000 miles and my grill is starting to look like crap with all the pits in it. I can see replacing this in the summer.

Dave, I don't know how you managed to change your own oil......it's not like you have your own lift or anything!

Btw, I haven't noticed any pits in my grill yet (knock on wood). I've got a little over 2300 Kms on mine now. I wonder if you could put some type of 3M clear bra type of stuff over the grill?

My grill is starting to look like sh_t as well. My 5 year old Yukon has a plastic grill that has fewer dings.

Well the lift did help a little. It was nice to just sit on the stool without having to bend over. Piece of cake.

I should have 3M the grill if I had known, almost too late now I must have 20 nicks and they look black so you can really see them. If I replace the grill then I'll 3M the now one.

It would be hard, small drive up ramps like the ones from Rhino should be enough.

By the way infiniti recommends replacing the washer on the drain screw everytime. When I bought the oil filter they gave me one for free. It's a compression type.
