Keep Driver Floor Mat Clean?

It rains quite a bit here and I am trying my best not to dirty up the floor mat. Is there anything you guys do, besides flipping it?

Short of buying a second set of mats, nothing I can think of.

I just leave the black rubber winter mats in all year.

I know, some people frown on this because It's a luxury car, but my shoes are dirty and my carpet is clean.

I bought the Hexomat's from http://www.autoupgrade.net. I also got the trunk mat as well. The front mats are $40. The trunk mat was another $90. They fit very well and do a good job trapping water/snow.

i actually just buy some regular universal black carpet mats and use them on top of the factoryones...if you have the stone inteior with the black accents the black mats actually give a cool look with the two tone eefect on the floor

As others have said you might consider rubber (all weather OE mats) for the off season. Otherwise it's very easy to clean the carpeted mats and they're very resilient. You can use almost any kind of soap, and a garden hose or utility tub works fine. scrub with a brush, rinse thoroughly and hang dry for 12 hours and you're good to go.

The mats aren't expensive in any case.

I never use mine. I take them out as soon as I pick up the car. Usually replace them with OEM all seasons.

When the time comes to sell the car, I put the originals back in and they look new (they are... )

I grabbed a set of Michelin extreme floor mats from Costco, I took out the stock ones and leave the michelins in all the time.

They're black, get marked up abit, but they work very well.

Someone once reccommended against stacking an aftermarket mat on the stock one. Personally, I like having only one layer.

As a matter of fact, the tag that came with my the Infiniti all weather mats said not to stack in top of the carpet mats.

Infiniti doesn't make all weather trunk mats. I'd like to get one for my G35x. The web site you mentioned doesn't say whether they have different mats between 2007 G35s vs. pre-2007 G35s. When you ordered yours, did you just specify G35, and whatever they had worked fine for you?
