2 Months old and Christend already!

I was washing the car off yesterday to get the road salt off and saw that someone hit the front driver side bumper and damaged the headlight. The headlight is also cracked with a piece of glass/plastic missing.

The headlight works fine just the lens is broken. Does the whole headlight need to be replaced or can just the outer lens be replaced? Until I do get it fixed should I cover the hole with a piece of tape? If I don't will anything else get damaged if water gets inside? Does anybody know what it costs to replace the lens or the whole headlight?

This might be a stupid question but does the bumper come pre-painted (doubt it) or do I have to get a bodyshop to paint it for me?

Can anyone from Long Island NY recommend a good body shop?

Thanks in advance for any comments

That sucks! I dont know about the new sedans, but on my 04 coupe it had to be replaced as a whole unit. Goodluck with it though!

Based on my experiences with my 2003 G35 and a 2007 G35 on order, and what my dealer has told me, factory OEM spoilers do come pre-painted , but bumper covers do not.

It will be interesting to see how much this is gonna cost, it'd be easier to guess cost with some pictures, but I say the headlight is around $600, The front bumper cover has to be removed to replace the headlight so figure at least an hour or two of labor, maybe 3 or more, depending on how much the dealership want for it. So I'll say around $1k.

The whole unti has to be replaced. Also for parts, if you order from the dealer they can paint match them for you.
