I Did It!

I have to tell you guys, i'm in a complete euphoric state of disbelief right now. So here's the deal...I've been reading along and loving every minute of this forum...only problem was, i didn't own a G35.

That changed today! I just put my order in, on a Liquid Platinum Graphite/Sport AT Premium/Nav/Tech.

So now I have the dreaded 90 day wait but sobeit...I JUST BOUGHT A G35!!!!!WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!

Congrats! What kind of deal did you get? What car are you coming from?

I can't imagine waiting that long. I've been waiting for 2 weeks and it's killing me.

i got the car at 1000 over invoice. i'll have to make an entry into the negotiated deal thread...

i'm almost embarrassed to admit this but i suppose its okay now. I am coming from a 1995, 4 cylinder Ford Probe. i bought the car in college when i was 21 and have had it for 12 years, the thing is still running like a top. However i'm now 33 and with 172,000 miles on my Probe i decided it was time to step it up (and splurge a little)

I've been looking to purchase for a long time but i was experiencing some analysis paralysis...i liked the TL but wasn't wild about the FWD, i liked the is350 but it was a little too small, i liked the bmw 3 series but was just a tad too expensive. Then the G came out and suddenly there was a vechicle that had EVERYTHING i wanted in it at a good price point. When i test drove it, the car blew my socks off but they told me nothing but MSRP...so i waited a bit and went in today as i had the day off. I actually didn't think i was even going to purchase today but i figured 1000 over invoice was a good deal. I had been saying no for so long it finally felt good to say yes.

So i'm making a pretty major step up. My probe still has the old hand crank windows... do i win the biggest step up award? LOL

It seems like the NAV/Sport combo is the tough pairing to find. It has been mentioned by a few new owners and future owners.

Congratulations!! Yeah, best time to buy a car is when you can take your time. I started having trouble with my previous car, so I had to get a new car right away. Fortunately, I was able to find a G35 I liked and get a decent deal.

If you are an aggressive driver you may want to think about going to a driving school to help you handle a car like this. Then again, just don't turn off the VDC and you should be ok..

Well, unless you're obligated to pay for the car when it arrives, it really doesn't mean all that much. But, congrats for taking that first step.
