Change engine oil reminder

Hi,
Does anyone know if this car automatically calculate when it is time to change the oil or do you have to set the "oil change" reminders?

I know that some cars have a auto reminder based on how you drive, engine temp, etc.

Thanks,
Andy

I actually asked the dealer about that when I picked mine up. My last car (BMW 3-series) did calculate the distance between oil changes based on driving pattern (highway vs. city, aggressive, etc), and set the reminder accordingly.

The Infiniti dealer told me that the Infiniti does not do those types of driving-style calculations, the reminder is whatever you set it up to be under Settings.

I believe you can set the mileage reminder in one of the menus for when it alerts you.

You'll get a warning on the dash screen, as well as on the Nav screen. My light came on at about the 3,825 mark. It looks like a warning at first, so it scared the hell out of me, but it does say "maintenance". I presume it was reset by the dealer when the oil was changed, but I forgot to ask, and haven't checked again.

The dealer might set this but you should check it and set it yourself. There are 4 settings you can do under the maintenance window.

1. Oil Change
2. Oil Filter
3. Tire Rotation
4. Other (whatever you want to be reminded of)

Like someone already mention this is nothing more then reminders. You can set these to remind you to change the oil whenever you want, every 3,000 miles, 5,000 miles etc....
