Adaptive Headlights turning question

Something interesting I noticed. In the garage in "Park", when I turn the steering wheel, only the right headlight moves back and forth with the steering wheel, but not the left headlamp. But I did notice that the left headlight moves on real world turns. Anyone shed some light on how it's supposed to work. At first I thought the left side was not working, until I monitored it on a left turn.

    MPH (25 km/h) for the left-side headlight.
    Note that the right-side low

side will not swivel when the vehicle
is at a stop and the steering wheel is
turned. The vehicle must attain a
    speed above 16 MPH (25 km/h) before
    AFS activates the left-side headlight.

How hard do you think it would be to add AFS?

I bet one of the things missing on the non tech version is the steering position sensor which is used for the headlights and back up camera.

A bit off topic, but how good is the backup camera for depth perception?

I think like most high tech items in complex cars (like this one), it would be very expensive to retrofit it after the fact.
(i.e. if you can even find the parts/expertise to do the job)

VERY good. I park about an inch from the cabinet in my garage every time. The bumper is clearly visible in the camera.

Agree ... moving headlight assy, backup camera controller, and backup camera/spoiler need to be added. This is assuming the wiring harness is the same.

The backup camera has lines superimposed on the video which give you an idea of how far away the rear of the car is from objects behind you. I got the tech package for the intelligent cruise control, and I didn't think I'd care much for the camera. However, I've gotten spoiled by the backup camera and I find it very useful. It has a very wide angle lens. I find it useful when backing out of a parking space and there are big SUVs to my left and right, since I can see more out back than what the rear view window shows. I also find it useful when backing into a parking space, and there are no cars to my left and right, since I can see the lines in the parking space while backing up.

That is the main reason why I would of liked the camera. Tired of opening the door and sticking my head out as I reverse in

It also sees pretty well at night. The backup and tail lights help, but it's also quite sensitive in the dark.

the thing i wish my 06 coupe had the most is the adaptive lighting..... i would love to think that it would be possible and not extremely expensive to add, but i will certainly not get my hopes up
