ok so i really have to get this straight. i havnt really gotten a straight answer so far =(
at has a speed limiter at 137?
mt has a speed limiter at 162?
why the differences??
somebody please go into detail
i have an 5at sport prem/nav and when i did my dyno it cut the gass off at 137..=( i dont intend to go that fast, but it just sucks to know that they had this new gen g capped at a lower speed.

This is not unheard of, I believe that it has to do with the speed rating of the factory installed tires. For example, when I bought my 97 Z28, the Z28s that had the all season tires had a speed limiter around 125 but the same car with the Z rated tires had a speed limiter well over 150. Other than the tires the cars had the same engine, same 6speed, same suspension.
So the question would be do the AT with the upgrade tire package have the same 137 MPH limit?

He has the upgraded wheels and tires, they're a part of the sport package for both AT and MT.Originally Posted by 03FXer

ok but how would the car sense what kind of tires i have on them if im on a dyno pack??
If you have AT with the sport model, there shouldn't be a difference in tires. There must be something else then.

it MUST be that manual tranny drivers are better drivers and can handle more speed. makes sense to me.
