Tints pics - first pics after 3 weeks

Ok, here they are. Can't get enough of this car. Too bad I carpool and I can only drive it 2 -3 times a week.

Got the clearbra installed and am very happy. It pretty much covers the entire bumper to the seams and edges, perfectly even and no large gaps. Not really noticeable except for the hood piece line.

Tint is 20%, 35%, 50%.

Took about 6 hours to complete. He even did a custom wrap on the side mirrors, one piece because he didn't like the 2 piece recommend from the pattern. Though there are some tiny stretch mark on each.

wow first pic of tint ive seen. i was thinking of going 50%(since 70% is legal for the front in cali) on the front and 35% on the rest but i was sure of how it wouldve looked. i think ill go 35% all around, considering it doesnt look that dark and you have black interior too. itll look even lighter with stone interior.

That's the only problem with being in Cali. The cops in certain areas will pull you over for 35% in the front. So having lighter tint in the front helps get out of that. I was at lunch in a friends A4 with 20% rear and 50% front...CHP comes up fast from behind from nowhere since we're doin almost 80 on the freeway, pulls up next to us...he looks over at the driver, then backs away and falls back. Checking to see if he can see the driver...they do it all the time.

Eh, not a fan of the uneven tint. You definitely should've gone 35% all around, or even 20%. I have 20 all around and 50% on the windshield.

Not a fan of uneven tints either. Either you go all the way and risk it, or go 50% on front and rear. Have had 35% on front and rear on my last two cars and never pulled over for them. Only time I was hassled was when I was already pulled over for something else. Got a fix it ticket. Paid the fine, never fixed it.

Just my opinion.

Looks good. You did it the right way if you had to fade it. Tip #1, if you do get pulled over, roll down all of your windows, all the way so the officer can see inside. Its a safety issue and if you remove it, they may be more receptive.

Looks good. I have 35% on all the windows (excluding the front) and I love the way it looks. Not too dark and not too light. Just perfect IMO.

GEESH!! This happened to me in my FX - the motorcycle cop was less than 3 inches from my driver's side mirror. Scared the CR@P out of me.

I hear ya on the 35% all around and the tips but after being pulled over twice for front tint(35%), I didn't want the "I wonder if he's gonna pull me over" in my mind all the time.

But I am still thinking about re-doing the front to 35%...ya, I like to contradict myself. Vincent at Omega Tint Werks in Pleasanton is great on customer support and I'm sure he'd work with me if I change my mind. If you guys need work, he's the guy. Just google him and you can confirm.
