Can you detail out which voice commands your using to navigate the Music Box folders? I'm only aware of three commands, play by mood (then say mood), on, off.

Based on most of your responses, I just want to confirm with this question directed to everyone: Do you not believe/agree that there should be a voice command to scroll down? and that the system would NOT be improved if they added a "Page Down" command prompt? No? Not even when your looking at the navigations "Nearby Places" and all you can see are the locations within .23 miles and you can NEVER see anything beyond .23 miles even though you you know it's there? Bad idea? I should pull over instead of Voice Button-"Page Down"

I would suggest this to Infiniti .....
If the car senses an adult occupant in the front passenger seat, enable everything in the music box, nav system and all that.

That is the part I hate the most -- why should you assume that the driver is a moron ??
If I have a passenger, please open it up so that he/she can work with the system while I drive

Sorry Kring, I guess my memory failed me this time. I was mixing it up with the voice commands for controlling an MP3 CD. I acutally never use the voice commands at all. I use the enter toggle on the steering wheel to change albums on the music box.

I almost never have a passenger in my car that is familiar with the operation of the navi or SoW systems. While some of you may argue that your significant other can contol it while you drive, I have to say more people would control it themselves while there is a passenger in the seat to activate it. This weight sensor would also be very easy to bypass, rendering any attempt at safety by Infiniti pointless.

I'd like to be able to browse my bloody music - set it so that you have to select/enter a song instead of just select it to play. The unbrowsable setup as it is now is mindbogglingly annoying.

Not sure how this is different than the way it plays a standard CD?
I guess since it plays from so many more sources, people are expecting more options to select songs?
I guess I'm a bit confused on why this is so annoying...
It jumps from folder to folder and from song to song. All really quickly.
Isn't this what most players do?

Everyone seems to want a video ipod integrated into the OEM stereo.

And equally no issues with not being able to use the nearby places unless you pull over? There's no scrolling there either.

That'd be nice - at least scroll through the top 10 maybe?

I'm confused as to what the problem is. While driving I can switch albums in the music box with the right radio ****. I can scroll up and down with the arrows just to the left of it. I can push text and the text comes up or I can push menu and label mood or delete song or whatever. So am I misunderstanding what you want or does yours not do this?

what I don't understand, and I would love if people explained to me, is why you can't manually create 'Mood' categories, or at least why there arent more mood categories! I would love to have 6 or 7 and organize all my good songs according to their mood...only then would i actually use the 'play by mood' function..

Also...does anyone here see any possibility for an aftermarket or even free interface to replace Infiniti's, loaded onto the car computer using the CF card? this is probably not possible, but i have not looked at exactly how infiniti organized the software and I'd rather someone just told me

EDIT: btw, i give infiniti's stereo interface a 3 or 4 out of 10 whereas i give the car a stellar 8 or 8.5/10.
yes, it's got such a low score because it attempts to do so much, but my point is: if you're going to make it frustrating, dont do it at all. I personally am just waiting until I figure out thebest way to install a PC in my car but..otherwise the interface would **** me off ALOT.

Caveman, try this. While driving, go to destination, nearby places and choose gas stations, Assuming your in a fairly populated area it will pull up like 20 or more gas stations, which are within a few mile radius of where the car currently is located, but say you prefer Mobil/Exon. and don't want Valero, Bob's gas, or the other low quality gas's. Your nearby places will populate the closest 5 gas stations to your car, but at the bottom it shows 5/20. There is no way to see the other 15 gas stations unless you pull over. the scrolling only takes you in a loop between 1,2,3,4 & 5.

If you park the car, then the Up/Down buttons appear on the screen and you can now see 6-20. This is my complaint... there should be a voice prompt to move you to the next screen. i.e. "Page Down" or "Scroll Down". or allow the wheel to scroll down to the next page, exactly how the CF player allows you to play songs on the next page.

This is what I call a defect, they missed the ability to scroll down on ALL parts of the system, so when your in settings i.e. Traffic settings, there are 11 different settings you can set, but you can only see the first 7, in order to see 8,9,10 & 11, you have to pull over.

I can't believe that this is considered "working as intended."

It's the same for many portions of the system.
