You can't be serious.
Are you saying this is what you do every time your car gets snowed on?

Heck no. Just when there is heavy ice, like the stuff we had here in NY about 2 weeks ago. My car sat in the driveway for 4 days, and it collected about an inch thick layer of ice. Yes, I scraped the windows, since as a prior poster indicated, hot water on glass could crack the windows. But I SLOWLY poured hot water over the rest of the car. (For example, the hood took about 5 buckets to clear.) Thick ice turns to slush, then dissolves in seconds. Although thick ice doesn't happen too many times each winter, I have been employing this method since way back in 1984 when I spent every last nickel to have my 1978 Buick Regal painted at Maaco.
