Don't go to Frontier Infiniti!

Frontier Infiniti's Service department sucks!! I brought in my car for lojack installation on Thursday morning, and I was told that it would be done by the end of the day. However, at the end of the day, the technician called and said that somehow the lojack guys weren't going to come until the next day, so he kept my G35 overnight. Anyway, for the whole of Friday I waited and waited and waited, and guess what? IT'S STILL NOT READY!!! I was told that it wouldn't be ready until MONDAY! Ha I really doubt that it'll be done by Monday even, because they're SO inefficient. Oh yeah, and they wouldn't even let me pick up my car and bring it back again on Monday. The lady on the phone rudely told me that no one was in and she doesn't "deal with the stuff technicians do".

So yeah, DON'T GO TO FRONTIER INFINITI!!! I wouldn't be surprised if they screwed up something in my car and are panicking like crazy now. Arghhhhhh so frustrating.

I wonder why they wouldn't let you take it home for the weekend?

Maybe you should call lojack and see if they would install at your house instead so you can cut the middle man. Then get your car back tomorrow (I'm sure their service dept is open).

I paid for the lojack when I purchased my car so I don't think there is a way to get my money back. I have to deal with the b.s. Oh and I called my service advisor many times to see what was wrong and he would not pick up. Either Frontier has screwed up my car or they really need to get their act together.

Did you at least get them for a loaner car?

I can't get a loaner because I'm not over 21. I'm gonna go down there today and demand to see my car.

Sorry to hear you're having such a frustrating experience with the dealership. My Infiniti ownership experience hasn't been much better so far, both the dealer and Infiniti Canada are totally apathetic to any concern I've had. Their attitude seems to say to me that if something is working less than perfect, forget about it and move on it's only an Infiniti.

I had my first hand experience last week of the service department at Infiniti of Serramonte. Extremely professional and knowledgeable. Even when I called to schedule my 3750-mile maintenance, Pete, the department manager, was very attentive and listened to all my problems (minor stuff). When I dropped off my car, they had just made these "wash/no wash" keychain signs, for owners who don't want their car washed (me!). I even put a piece of paper that read "DON'T WASH!" on the steering wheel (before I knew they made the signs AND they made a note of it on paper).

They took my car for several drives in the morning to find this rattle in the passenger side A pillar that I had complained about. Now THAT'S service. Plus, they said oil changes are FREE! I don't understand how... They said Infiniti is trying to copy BMW's motto.

Amuzed, sorry to hear about your experience. I experienced something similar to this last year. I took my FX in for the 30k service on a friday and planned to pick it up that afternoon. I was then told it wouldn't be ready friday night. They told me they would make an exception and someone from service would be there early Saturday morning to allow me to pick it up. Sure enough I drive an hour to get to the dealer only to find that no service rep. was present and no one from sales "had the ability" to get my car for me. I know the frustration. Hopefully they we'll have the lojack installed and correctly on Monday.

I'm sorry to here that Amuzed. I was working to purchase a car from them and when I went to negotiate, it didn't work out. I didn't like the offer so I walked away. In preparation for my purchase I've been reading the forums, and others didn't have good experiences with them either. It's unfortunate as a bad new spanking owner, this is the first experience you. That just plain sucks.

This kind of reaffirms my "almost" purchase experience and the concern on their service department. Good luck on getting your car back without issues (do a once around). You may want to reconsider any future dealings, if uncessary (i.e. you're not obligated like the LoJack cas), unless they make it up to you for the delay.
