Today while I was driving in "D" thinking I was in Manual mode, I hit the paddle to down shift and it did. The display went from to D to m3 and back to D when I can to a light.

I didn't realize that you can manually down shift while in regular D mode? has anyone else experience this. I don't remember seeing this in the manual.

(thought I would throw in some pics for gp.)

Yes, you can downshift using the left paddle in D mode.

Pretty cool, huh?

Yeah, I only found out about it when somebody on this forum casually mentioned it while talking about something else. Is it even in the manual?

Its a really cool feature, especially when you need that instant downshift for passing cars.

This automatic has some really nice features. I do like being able to blip the paddles in the normal drive mode and have it downshift.. then revert back to "D".
So far, I'm not missing having a manual..
