Bluetooth sound issue

Ok, 2nd post and I'm here to complain and hope someone here has a solution!! *sigh*

My G w/ Nav can pair up and do everything else perfectly fine with my Samsung D900. Sending contacts, dialing, receiving, etc. It's all perfect. However, when I'm in a call, the other end only hears static, and I hear some weird distorted sound only. BUT...if I switch to handset in the touchscreen menu option, and then click the handsfree button on the steering wheel to go back to the car, the sound is completely clear! Soooo strange.

I've tried re-pairing, I've tried turning on/off both the car and the phone, I tried taking the phone battery out for a bit, I turned off voice-clarity enhancement features on both the phone and the car. I've even tried turning off the audio (radio, etc.) on the car before initiating a call.

Nothing works! Anyone here have any ideas as to what's wrong and/or what I can try next??

Thanks!

Don't know what to tell you, my Razr V3 works great. Maybe someone else will have an answer.

Unfortunately BT implementations are not all the same.
It's great when it works but these glitches can be a real PITA.

Did you try any Samsung forums?
Also did you try pairing another phone?
- that would help to identify if it's a phone or G issue.

Hmmm, good ideas inTgr8r!
I'll check out one of the Samsung forums I know, and I'll get one of my friend's to pair his SE phone and see if that works better...

Man that would suck if my two toys couldn't find a way to be friends with each lol.

Have you used your phone with a different bluetooth headset before? Are you keeping your phone in your pocket when you're attempting to talk on it?

With my Samsung A900 I find it really sucks when I leave it in my pocket, so I usually stick it in the ashtray. In light of the may problems with my Samsung phone recently, all I can say is buy a different brand of phone next time. I know I won't buy another Samsung.

I've been keeping it in the ashtray, the cupholder, the passenger seat, holding it in hand...no difference whatsoever. No, I've never tried pairing it with another bluetooth headset...never found the need to use one yet.

Haha...aww...I love my Samsung though! Just a few issues here and there with the bluetooth maybe

That looks pretty sweet, hopefully your's doesn't like to pretend it's a space heater and kill the battery in under 8 hours of standby. Mine also resets itself randomly or just shuts down and beeps until I remove the battery. I've had it replace under warranty already too.

I bought a Samsung BT headset a couple months before buying my G and my phone sounded terrible over it, but that was before I got the replacement.

There are some volume adjustments on the G - have you tried turning them down? We had some echo on our M and I kept trying to increase the volume - where lowering it to about 1/4 fixed it.
Never had static though... hope you get this sorted out. It's a great feature (when it works).

Our Razr V3 is recognized even when my wife is beside the car but outside if it is in her purse. It does not seem to matter where it is in the car it is recognized by the car and works fine.

I checked the Infiniti Canada list of Bluetooth phones that are acceptable and it doesn't even have Samsung listed which is very strange.

I then checked the Infiniti US site ( http://www.infiniti.com/bluetooth/ ) and it does list Samsung but not the D900.

I realize many other phones do work that aren't on the list but I checked anyway.

Thanks for checking, GEE35X!

Hmm, I'll have to look into the volume thing, G-Whizzer.

However, over lunch I went to the parkade with my friend and tried pairing his SE W810i and it worked flawlessly. *sigh* Looks like it IS my phone...maybe a firmware update on my phone may resolve the issue...

Otherwise...it looks like I won't be using this feature of the G until I get a new cell

I have a similar problem with my Samsung D600, but it's intermittent -- only happens on maybe 20% of the calls. Hanging up and redialing usually fixes the problem.
