Help Install Spoiler & Debadge Rear Emblems
Help Install Spoiler & Debadge Rear Emblems
I recently purchased a Dawn Enterprise rear spoiler for my 07 G35S Sedan. Looking for someone in the Los Angeles area willing to help out a fellow G35Driver member install the spoiler. Also help debadge the rear emblems. PM me if you can help. Or if anyone can provide information on a reputable local shop that can do the install would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Debadging is easy. Just get some dental floss, park it out in the sun to heat up the adhesive under the emblems then run the floss under it. Get some polish/scratch remover to clean off and the gunk thats left then wax over the area to a smooth finish.
There's a great DIY write-up by Railgunner for the very spoiler you speak of. Do a search and save yourself some money by installing it yourself.
G bonding time!

I debadged my last car... I'm still not sure if I want to debadge this one. Anyway the process I used...
Hairdryer, Floss (or fishing line), goo gone for the leftover on the car, then immediately wash the area, and follow with a polish and wax.
You don't want the goo gone sitting on the paint.

Hmm...weird. Maybe it got moved to some other place with all this recent shuffling around. Looked thru 45 pages and couldn't find it. You may want to PM railgunner for more detailed info.
The closest thing I could find was this thread about Sedanman's spoiler install~

Do a search for DEBADGING and you'll get some good DIY tips and pics as well.

i debadged mine with my fingers for the most part. the car is so new that sticky tape never really had time to settle i guess. the infiniti emblem required a bit more "precision", so i used my drivers license to break it loose...no scratches at all
