Getting back to the topic; your friend sounds like my friend. He is just pulling your leg because he knows it upsets you.

 

I always see posts on this type of forum where some troll comments that a RR Phantom looks like a Kia Rio, or some other similarly random statement. There is certainly a design theme among the Nissan line of vehicles, and among the Infiniti line, but there is not much resemblance between the two lines, except that both look distinctly Japanese. The Altima and the G are entirely different platforms and do not share a single body panel.

Claiming the Altima and Maxima look alike, I can see. Identifying the Altima and G, I do not. Note that I have a new G and my mom has a new Altima...both are wonderful cars but I don't think a seeing person would ever confuse the two.

I think he just says it thinking it fires me up, which it does.... but some interesting stuff in here.

 

A guy came into work today, all excited about the new Altima Coupe saying it looks just like my car.
I just said "you idiot" and walked away.

Really? Maybe the 07's... but definately not the earlier ones. We have an '05 Altima SE-R, and it seems bigger than our 07 G.

Dont even get me started... when i had my coupe, I HATED those damn Scions. I was at a dealership with my GF when she was buying new wheels and the salesman told me he had the same new Scion I was driving, I about slapped him. They look like mini G Coupe knockoffs...

I love people that say stupid things like that. tell them to get buy a new altima so you can smoke them! I went up against a new altima at a stop light and it wasn't even close, FWD FTL!

 

That's because they don't need to stuff a RWD drivetrain in it, floor pan is different.

 

HELL NO they dont look alike! nissans are much smaller and dont have elegance like th G does
