A 'friend' of mine is busting my ***** saying my car looks like an Altima... its angering me. Anyone else have this problem? They do resemble each other... both Nissans obviously. They do not share the same chassis or anything do they?

Nissan is seeing a lot of the trickle down stuff from Infiniti. Starter button, etc. But that's true for almost any dual-branded car company.

Altima and the G are not on the same chassis/platform, rest easy.

Funny you mentioned this ... I have a friend who has a new Altima and he's kidding me as well saying that he's basically got the same G as mine except for the lower price. Oh well.

haha, 'friend' is not a car person at all. Drives an old explorer....

I didnt think it could be the same platform, I think the G is a good bit larger than the Altima.

Whenever I get a compliment/harrassment from a friend, it usually goes goes like this:

"Hey you bought a G35, nice" <walks around to front> "Wait a minute... this doesn't look like a G anymore..."

"That's because it's the NEW G35..."

"oh..uhh, yea."

"DUUHH, Das right, FACE!!!!"

<all true, except for the last line>

Rest assured, there is no way anyone could mistake the G's pretty face for an altima face. If they insist, then you need to club them over the head to get them to smell what they are shovelling you

Hilarious... I will have to take him to a Nissan dealership and park beside and altima sometime.

I might do this if my friend keeps bugging me.

LOL.
Drive 'em first...

And see them side-by-side in person.
The altima seems a bit clunky - great looking car, but just not the refinement as in the G.

the Altima is a solid looking ride...I particularly like the tail lights...The way they wrap around a bit...The from end is a tad weak. Not a huge fan of Nissans grills (Max and Alt). And of course the interior is no comparison...Did I mention FWD vs RWD and 50 mor so horses standard?

I don't think they look alike at all. I think your "friend" just likes teasing you.
