To the OP, if you go with the G35x, you'll love the ATTESSA AWD system for sure. I highly recommend putting snow tires on though. Welcome to the forum!
I think it was because I stepped up from a RWD truck (which I had for four winters) to the G35x. I had little to no problems with my truck in the snow. But, I noticed a huge handling difference in the first week that I had the G. I do plan on getting some winter tires for next winter though.

Purely my opinion here:

If you are in the GTA, then the stock tires are fine, especially if you are getting an x like me. If I was not leasing the car I would have used the stock rims and got a set of proper snow tires.

Driving since October 23, I have not had any issues with turning/stopping in the snow.

Welcome to the club!

With the winter meltdown going on, there won't be many opportunities to take great winter shots like Wayne. Perhaps some better options will be coming up with all the construction.

Thanks guys, you can see why I just love the X .
It is such a blast playing on the snow covered back roads, as long as the visibility is okay.

Thanks CD, I live in Kincardine which is on Lake Huron. Most of my pics are taken in the area.
I like it here, because of the slower pace of life, friendly people, nice beaches, good fishing etc.
Another big reason are the beautiful sunsets.

^Nice pics Wayne! There is definitely something to be said for slower pace of life living in a smaller community. I am one that could never live in a big city.

Apparently, you live in a bigger town than I do. You've seen more '07s than I have. LOL

Actually I'm quite the opposite. Having grown up in the suburbs, I like fast paced with an escape every now and then.

Just wondering what members thought of this chain alternative:

http://www.flextrax.com/index.php

Also, I wont be getting snows for this winter since it's almost over, but I have to drive upstate tomorrow to go skiing/boarding and we/they are supposed to see 1-2ft of snow so I'm a little scared of driving my X tomorrow (altho the highway should be plowed - I'm hoping). All of my previous cars have been FWD, so this is my first RWD experience and from stories from my friend who had an IS300, G35c, IS350 RWD basically blows in the snow, which is one of my main reasons for getting an X.

How concerned should I be about driving tomorrow w/ my stock X?

The X handles very well in the snow, and while snow tires definitely help if you maintain a reasonable following distance and take it easy in corners I doubt you'll have any problems. The biggest benefit to snow tires will be when you need to stop, just be careful driving with the RSAs.
