Audio inputs only playing from the drivers side??

Has anyone had any issues with the Audio inputs only playing from the drivers side in AUX mode? I have an i-POD and I used my DVD player RCA jacks to hook it up. Would that cause the issue? Do I need the special connector from i-pod? Any help would be great?

Make sure the cable is pushed all the way into the headphone jack on your iPod. Then check and make sure the RCA Cable connections are secure. If that doesnt do it, check the stereo balance. None of that- try a new cable.

Goodluck!

I don't have that issue... I just have the very common hissing sound which you may encounter and I just haven't picked up a Ground Loop Isolator yet.

Where in Orlando are you, I go to college at UCF!

The headphone jack is terrible for hooking the ipod up to an external amplified stereo, I'm thinking about ordering a PocketDock from SendStation:

SendStation PocketDock Line Out USB

Here is how mine is setup by the way. I have the Belkin Auto Kit so it is just one dock wire for charging and playing.

Though I must admit I've been using the MP3 CD player instead of the iPod.

Oooh....that PocketDock looks promising.
Let us know how it works out if you get it!

Cool. How's the sound with this?? Do you still hear that hissing sound?

Also, did you have to buy the Auto Kit plus another Y-Audio cable to plug into the kit?

I looked and I couldn't find a kit that had both power and audio...

This may be even more promising, coz Belkin often has those 50% off coupons you can use online!

Yeah the hissing is still there. To get rid of the hissing you need something like this: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=265-012
At least that's what I read on here. I didn't get one yet.

I got a Y-Audio/Video Cable (Headphone to Composite Cable) from Best Buy. I wanted to be able to watch videos on the screen as well (granted they only work when the e-brake is up unless you follow the work around).

The cable was about $22 and the Belkin Auto Kit I've had for a while now, because I used it for a hardwire in my previous car.

Anyway here is what you have to look forward to

If you're still having the audio problem with sound coming out of one side and not both, plug the audio L & R connectors into the two jacks closest to the passenger's side. That solved my problem. Hope this helps.

What do you mean?

Those are the only 2 jacks for sound. Where else would you plug them in?

The yellow one is for video input?

You have me confused?

I bought one of these around Christmas for my wife's VW and it works great. I tried it in the G and there were no issues there either.

Cool thanks for the input. I think the design is great because I can use it in the house as well for hooking the ipod to my stereo instead of getting a regular ipod dock. Did you order it right from sendstation's website?
