First Compliment Today

I stopped at Donuts Delight in Stamford today before work. A guy came up to me to ask me what model my car outside was. I said it was a G35. He said he didn't know they looked like that. I said they had just redone the style and have only been out since November. He asked a few more questions ending with, "How much horsepower does it have?" When I responded with 306 he was really shocked. He said that he was going to take a serious look at trading in his car for the new G

We both walked out at the same time. I saw him get into his new BMW 335.

it was a coupe and it wasn't an 335xi (which may not even be available yet) so maybe the snow we are having today that was making him think like that. He also may not have been referring to the car he was driving. He said he was a BMW guy so maybe he has another one that he is thinking of getting rid of.

i don't know much about the 335 or bmws in general. when i got my g they didn't have the 335 available in awd in the sedan so i was looking at the 328 i think (it was a little small inside for me as i am 6'4)

I would be surprised if the trade talk was about the 335.
AWD or not, it is one helluva ride.

And no one can help him, if he is one of those ppl that think that their ride is only 300 hp (whereas the G is 306) !!

I also imagine he paid about 10K more than I paid for my loaded G (assuming the same options on the bmw)

Coming from BMW's, they looks and drive great, but that's about it. The idrive is a nightmare to use, navigation is horrible, layout is bland and not intuitive. I have a friend with the new 328xi coupe and she complains about it all the time.

When I checked out the BMW (upon the recommendation from my Infiniti salesman) I hated the iDrive. I couldn't figure it out. I was turned off right away. The G's nav system is so much easier to use.

As hard as it is for people to believe...

NOT everyone loves their BMW.
A friend of mine just got rid of his '06 330i - it was in the shop twice a month minimum.
