If you are driving the G35 primarily city, it is a very thirsty car period! However, highway mileage is acceptable. Overall, this car does not win awards for being frugal on gas.

I'm now seeing 13.5L/100km (17.5mpg) for 100% city driving in my X. I'm a bit surprised that I haven't seen any increase in fuel economy after switching back to the A/S tires, spring mix fuel and generally warmer weather, but what can I expect when I am stuck in gridlock for about 5-7 hours a week.

Idling will definitely screw up your MPG numbers.

Averaging right at 20 mpg thus far - though that is per the car computer. I haven't really kept up with it myself much yet.

I cant get past 11mpg no matter what I do or what speed im at. The meter will fluctuate quickly but it always settles at 11-12mpg on the highway and damn near close to ZERO on the streets.

Should I bring this to the dealer?

Don't trust the meter - calculate it on fillup and miles traveled. Or look at the average mpg in the info section....

The average MPG in the info section is 12. Im going to see how many miles it takes until the gas light comes on. At this point, it shouldnt be much more than 225.

Just took a weekend at my parents, 95 miles of highway drive and I averaged 22.5 MPG with only 400 miles on the odometer. Used Cruise Control (love ICC, will never buy a car without it again) the whole way, except for tolls, and set it at 75 MPH in NJ and 65 MPH in New York (half trip in each).

Drove around during weekend locally (about 50 miles or so), and 95 miles of highway home with traffic on the way, and overall trip average was 21.2 MPG.

Using Cruise control set at 65mph. I was able to get 27 on mostly highway driving over 40 miles. However, after some city driving, it went down significantly.

Overall, my average is around 22mpg city 30% and highway 70% and I have 5k miles.

Just finished a 525 mile trip yesterday. Left with a almost a full tank.. had about 50 miles of local errands on it.. Put in 16.1 gallons and calculated 24.4 mpg mostly interstate (75 - 80mph) and some local Atlanta traffic. I have been averaging 22mpg mostly city.

OK, I'm new to the '07 Sedan world, having only 600 miles so far, but I have an observation that seems to be reflected in most of the posts set forth above. This car has the largest disparity between highway and city mileage as any car I've ever owned. I've gotten as high as 26 mpg on the highway and as little as 16 driving around town. That will probably drop a bit when I get beyond the break-in period and I floor it every time.

I've gotten about 20mpg average and my 07 G sedan has only about 4K miles. On the highways, I've been shifting to neutral when I go over 70mph and just let the car slide thru usually about 1/4 mile and then to drive. I thought this will increase the MPG a little bit . Not sure if this technique has adverse effect tho on the car. I hope it doesnt.
