Actually quite funny, my key fab died a week after i took ownership of the car. I had no clue how i was goin to get the car started as i didnt even realize there was a key hole on teh drivers side. Once i opened the car after like 5 minutes, i remembered that the salesman told me about the keyfab charger. Once i put the fab into the slot, i was able to start the car. THe key fab just has to be in the car, doesnt matter where, and the car will start with the button. Hope this helps, and that charger works wonders.

Port is NOT a charger. Owners manual say replace discharged battery ASAP (p.3-2)
