I loaded last night Bruce Springsteen...The Seeger Sessions...

The Album Title Shows up but the Artist does not (While it is playing)
but...
When I go to edit Album Info for that particular album Bruce's name shows up...Anyone know if this something I am doing wrong?

I have two other CD's loaded and the artist shows up no problem

Can't really be something you're doing wrong - since there's no real way to change how it uploads..
Have you tried the Gracenote update? It basically takes the song info from your HD and looks for info in it's online databse, then re-writes this info to your car. It requires a CF card that you move between your car and PC.

Sounds like this particular CD has the text data in a different order.
Maybe this update will fix it??

Correct me if I am wrong, but this will only work if the music box thinks it is missing the titles.

I think it sounds like it 'is' missing the Artist info field - so maybe it'll overwrite/append it.
Not sure... you make a good point. Maybe hope3702 can come back and let us know.

Hope3702 - If that doesn't work maybe try deleting the album and rerecord it to the music box. If you play the CD does the artist information show up? Are you looking at the status screen or the actual music box screen?

I had a problem with a CD like that - an original. My solution was to burn it to Itunes, ensure the album data was there, then burn an Itunes CD with CD Text turned on. That fixed whatever quirk was wrong with it.

Are you trying to display the information from STATUS button screen or from the music box display (where it show all the tracks)?

Re the above process, does anyone know how large the export.dat and import.dat files are? I want to use the same CF card I have for music and wanted to leave some free space on it.
