Scratches on Chrome Trunk Lip

Picked up car last night and notices some scratches or chips on the chrome lip...Is there anyway to get that out?

Hey - first.... CONGRATS!

And I would think some sort of cleaner wax with a really gentle polishing compound already in it.

Post your pics! Guess I should check that image share area thingy.

Sorry, but I have to ask the stupid question ... are you sure they are scratches? I had what I thought were scratches as well, but it turned out to be residual adhesive from the protective film that was on the chrome trunk finisher. Took me two car washes to figure it out.

If they really are scratches, the dealer should replace it for you. BTW, you'll notice the chrome trunk finisher is much more durable than the chrome grill.

I actually can't tell...I can't rub them off with my finger but I don't think I feel a difference in feel from the rest of the lip...

Sounds like it might be a little residual adhesive.

I wonder if there is a way to have the back-up cam on all the time? set it up to come on as a toggle and when you hit reverse...

I dunno, it'd be neat

I would like the option to activate the backup monitor by switch too, with the low seat's I often worry that someone is going to hit me when I'm stuck in traffic. I'd even be happy if it worked on the same lock as the nav features and it worked only when the car is stopped.

^^^ - Must be the seats, but I also feel like I'm going to be rear ended ALL THE TIME.
I'd like the headrests to tilt a bit more - when stopped on the freeway I like to have my head against the rest (in anticipation of a rearend or for napping). LOL.

Do the nail test. If your nail get stuck in the groove it's too deep. If that's how you got the car, have the dealer replace it.
