Limited slip delivers power to the non-spinning wheel, so if one wheel is spinning (say, out of a turn) the other wheel will get power and the G will accelerate.

VDC will stop a wheel from spinning, but that's it - it doesn't transfer power, so if a wheel spins you're slowing down. That said, the X has the advantage of delivering traction to at least one front wheel too, so you could argue that a similar power transfer is happening.
