On page 4-75 of manual I noticed the Memo Pad voice recorder. Of course I didn't notice at beginning of chapter that this is only available in models without navigation. I wish I had this actually. Good way to note a license plate of a wacko driver.

I discovered this too. I read this in the manual was very disappointed. I had this on my 1999 explorer limited as a part of the homelink system and it came in handy. I don't know why they would leave this off the Nav equipped G's.

Well treacherous, tell ya what I'll do. I'll trade you straight up my '07 G35X LS, Stone, Prem, Alum, Memopad for your car. I'll even include my grey all weather mats!

Doh! This explains why even after spending 15 minutes looking for it I still could not find the memo function in my G w/Nav.

One workaround, for those who really want this feature, is to program your cell phone's voice mail number into your G35 and leave yourself a voice mail.

Unless, of course, the car answers the phone for you. Didn't you get that feature?

Depends on your service. Some services, you can call the 800 number and then enter your phone number to leave a message (haven't tried it on my G35, and this assumes you can put commas/pauses between prompts to enter your number, PIN, etc). It's only worth it if you can automate the prompting & responses.

If I call my cell number from my cell it goes to voice mail, and if I don't enter my pin it will let me leave a message. Interesting idea, I've never left myself a message on purpose before. It usually only happens when I'm not paying attention and don't enter my pin.
