got two problems

1. does anyone know if its normal to hear ticking when the engine turns off? i heard it yesterday and i thought it was normal . today i heard it again, it was near the driver side wheel. its pretty loud too and i barely drive 30 mins from work to home.
2. can someone do me a favor and check their hood for me. i know theres 3 latches on there and my pasenger side one doesnt seem like its latch on right. i can still push it down and it'll move up n down a little bit.its still flush to the bumper so i dont think anything blocking it. the driver side doesnt do this so i appreciated if someone can check out there car and let me know if only mine does that.
thanx btw the car has less than 1000 mile on it.

1) ticking is normal after shut off/cool down

2) check to make sure your hood stand is all the way in place. mine is
fine

Is the ticking constant and steady?

If not, it's normal. That's just the sound of the metal contracting as it cools.

the ticking is not constant, it does go away after a few mins or so. the reason why i ask is because i can really hear it. my coupe didnt do this and i never really notice it until this past 2 days.
the hood stand is all the way in place but i can still move it while pushing on it. i can feel that the hood latch is not fitting propertly in place.
looks like my baby have to into the dealer for a checkup.

There are two types of ticking you might hear:

1. Ticking coming from thee engine components as the metals cools down and shrink a bit (after being stretched during high temps).

2. Oil dripping down to the pan.

Both are perfectly normal.
