Fuel Observations...

Just a few things I have noticed...

Does anyone know how/why the car can/will show a different distance to empty on the gauge cluster warning and the status screen on the Nav unit? Mine is commonly 1-2 miles different. Not that it matters, just curious. Also, the status screen shows the distance left after the gauge cluster area shows --- This morning the status screen went all the way down to 6 when I filled up, the gauge cluster went --- at like 10.

Also- fuel prices suck! $50.50 to fill up today at $2.89 /gallon. Upon fillup, it said I had 323 miles to empty, ughhh!!!

Didn't bother checking on my last (firs) fill up, but from my experience with the coupe, the built-in MPG calculator was always skewed (overstating) 0.5-1 MPG.

Here in the Greater Vancouver area, it cost me CDN$80.6 to fill up yesterday. That's US$69.82 full tank. We have the most expensive gas prices here in Canada ... thanks to the BC proviincial government who's raking in a lot of tax $$$ from hardworking British Columbians.

Wow- you must be full throttle from red light to red light or something, I thought mine was not-so-good as I dont spend a lot of time on the highway (luckily or the entire front of my car would be black in less than 3000 miles ).

I know many other places in the world have a lot higher gas prices than the US, but I still complained about my $55 fill-ups. I stopped complaining as of this past December when I was in Hong Kong. My friend stopped at gas station to fill up his ML350. He charged HK$1200 (more than US$150) and his tank wasn't completely full yet.
