Actually, thats the weird part, I don't drive my car hard at all. I have 2000 or so miles on it and since I got it I get approx. 16 mpg. Do yout guys think there is something wrong?

Yes. I've run 3 tanks through my G35S and gotten 20.4 mpg, 18.5 mpg and 24.6 mpg. The first tank was a mix of highway and around town, the second almost all town driving and the third tank almost all highway miles.

yeah its like 3.37 where i am! and to top it off im only getting 14.9 mpg! most of my driving is on the street so that could be why? but im lucky because my office is only 7 miles away from my house, so im thinkin i should get more mpg than that. i only fill up twice a week but that $56.00 everytime i fill up is the pits!

is there any way to reset the mpg average on the screen so I can see how much distance I can go if I drive like a granny?

The gas price thing is kinda misleading. They may pay more in Europe and Asia then us, but then again they don't have to drive as far. I've been to Hong Kong a few times and from what I've seen you can't put a lot of miles on you car even if you wanted to. It's just not that big. Same thing in Europe. The UK is what like 150 miles across. I live in Austin, Texas driving 150 miles won't even get me to Dallas or Houston.

Factor in the fact that in public transport is a much more viable option in most big asian and European cities than in Austin (or most big American cities outside of the east coast) and even though they may pay way more for gas than me I still think it's a least a wash. I pretty much have to drive to get anywhere and I have to drive farther. (btw it cost me $2.55 a gallon for premium today.)

(Disclaimer - I am not defending urban sprawl or the lack of public transport etc. This is just how it is.)
