Anyone else have this? My car "07S Auto" had a note saying that 5 miles of the cars odometer were from testing on a high speed ring before the car was shipped out to be sold. Seems kind of cool, wondering if it is a quality control thing, and that everyone has it, or that its because my car was a first run vehicle "bought it off the showroom floor before the november release date"

 

I got one of those notes in the glove box when i bought my 07 G too... i thought it was cool...i dont know what it means but thats cool!!

 

Yup, I had that note as well and it was signed by the tester with 4 miles. My car was delivered with 7.2 miles.

 

I dont think I have one... I haven't look that hard though either, might have to check it out. If not, I'll put 4-5 miles on my own high speed ring!

 

arent you supsed to break them in first before you go and speed test them...

it should be ok to do drive it hard during the break in here and there as long as u dont stay that way a good period of time or hold it at one speed for a good time

 

So your note is saying you have carte blanche to drive like a demon before break-in, eh? Just kidding...I've obeyed break-in and am eagerly awating the 1200 mile mark (only at 760 after 4 months).

 

id go crusing just to get it up.. when i first got my G.. in 1 month i had 3k LOL and first week was already 1k ahhaha

 

Do you drive it everyday? that doesn't sound good, if you do that many short trips the engine never gets to break-in properly. you need to open it up and let it run, driving it hard would probably be better for you if your tirps are that short.
