after you get your first couple of rock chips.. or your first door ding.. or little knick... it'll get easier and easier to walk away w/out the terminator look

LOL! Last weekend, I was dropping my wife off at the entrance to wherever we're going since she got so tired of me looking for an optimal ding-free zone to park my car. She said I shouldn't buy a new car anymore for this reason

Yeah...but those burritos are goooooooood!

I'm an old guy chasing 50, Gee. We've earned a burrito or two...

Parking in the stratosphere then will serve 3 purposes: Save the G, keep the GF happy and trim the 'ole waistline.

I have the paranoia as well...

Today I parked at the back of the parking lot for lunch - No one for 20 spaces in any direction.

Within 20 minutes all sports around me were taken - the ones on each side of we were the dreaded beater and the minivan... Fortunately they must have been cautious people as there were no dings...

I definitely get panicky about my new G.

I'm just glad the weather is getting warmer around here. Basically so I can park far enough away and not have to worry about walking in the cold.

I have only had my car since mid February and I have already found scratches that have been made by careless people. It is so hard to own anything nice nowadays.

I've had my 05 for a couple years and still park in the same spot at work every day. If it's not available I look for another spot next to a curb. I've had one door ding removed so far and now have one that is really small....but I know it's there. A female co worker has a Z06 and she also parks close to the curb every day....she understands our sickness. One day the lawn crew sprayed grass clippings all over her car. I thought she was going to kill someone.

Couple of months back I went to my bank,in and out less than 5 minutes.I find some a**hole standing over the driverside door rubbing it!Apparently he parks his catering van right next to my car to unload, opens his door and oopps puts a 2 inch long vertical crease in my drivers side door Iwas pissed out of my mind After him apoligizing, calling his catering company and them promising to pay I left.2 days later I got it fixed at local dent repair shop for $150 and reimbursed by the caterers.
Bottom line Istill park as far away as possible but idiots are everywhere and sometimes you just can't avoid them

I'm so paranoid about parking my G, that I asked the building supervisor at work what day the landscapers come to mow the grass. I get to work early that day to park in the center of the lot away from any grass.

Ever see what a weedwacker or mower can do to your paint finish when they encounter debris? It's not pretty.

in the 80's, there was a benz in my neighborhood that had the talking alarm system with a proximity detector: "You are too close. Get the f*** away from the car." or something like that.
