Angry Prep guy is a HACK!

I've mentioned this in my Delivery Date thread, but I'm bent enough to make a new thread.
I'm on my way home and stop at the store.
On my way out, I'm admiring my car in the sunlight when I notice something I didn't see while taking delivery last night.
Friggen Swirl Marks!

He said that if I had any complaints, to notify him before filling out his precious survey, and he plans on calling me tomorrow to check in on me and the car.
There really isn't any way for him to make good on this other than accepting a bill for correcting it.
The dealer is 75 miles away, making it a terrible inconvenience to go back there, and also, I don't want his hacks touching it again.
They only touched it to begin with cause I wanted my 3M film installed before I took delivery, so naturally, they needed to clean the car.

I could most likely fix this myself, but it's actually a pretty deep swirl and I'm just too damn bent right now.
Good thing we're not talking till tommorow.
I'll have time to calm down.

Sidenote:
I'm not one of those tools who takes 4 spots for his precious car.
I moved it over there for the picture and then I left.

Just wanted to say that before I got feedback.

It was still light out when I took delivery, but this only appears when the sunlight hits it at just the right angle.
I can't see it when it's in my driveway (still light out, just not in the sun)
and I can't see it in the garage while using a flashlight.

Needed to be in the sun, in just the right way.... and of course, that was not during delivery time.

never let the dealer touch your car. lesson learned. i requested them not to "detail" for my pick up. i also request them no to wash my car either when i take it in, but they wash it anyway. go figure. there's not much you can really do to get rid of the current swirls. if i were you, i'd just get some zaino and detail it on the weekend.
there's always goin to be swirls, you just have to learn to live with it. atleast your car isn't black. and from the sound of it, it doesnt seem that bad if you can only see it at certain angles in daylight.

I have Zaino, but Zaino Z5 will only fill it, not remove it.
I'll buff it out by hand, but it's the point.
I know swirls can and will happen, but they shouldn't be at the hand of the moron prepping the car.

I did not want them touching the car at all, but I wanted the 3M installed.
They're guy is absolutely fantastic at installations, was 3M certified, and the dealer cut me a break on the cost.
That being said, they're also the closest dealer for me at 75 miles away.

I couldn't take delivery, take it home, clean it, and then bring it back for 3M, as I would be chancing a chip in the front end before the 3M was installed.
So, I told them to do what was necessary for installing the 3M.

There was no film being installed on a rear pillar, so the friggen meathead with the PC had no business buffing my car anywhere, but especially back there.

Ugh.

DOH!!!!
That's painful.
My dealer actually did a great job prepping...

Sorry about your swirl... get someone to do it and bill the dealer.
That's the only way they'll learn.

Now, who knows a good detailer in Central Mass?
LOL... this is killin me.

I want free All-Weather Mats, Damn it!

I zipped those pics up and sent them in an email to my salesguy.
I figured I would give him a heads-up before his call to me.
Give him some time to chew on it and think of a resolution.
I'll update ya's tomorrow with his response.

Other than the swirl... this car absolutely rocks.
I have never had such a good feeling about a vehicle purchase, and the 3M job is flawless... even better than expected.
I dropped a good amount down on this, which is what made this find that much more painful.
Driving this remarkable vehicle and only having a monthly payment of $170 a month is completely awesome. (LOL)

And it gets TONS of looks too.
I notice people playing catch up or stopping short at lights just to get a closer look.

Hopefully, they didn't see my swirly... how embarassing.

Dont worry about that, I think that will clean up no problem. I understand what a PITA and disappointment it is though to deal with that on your first pickup. But I think it looks great!!!

And yeah I am biased, I found my twin!

Inskip in Warwick, RI

I chose them over Norwood due to their massive inventory.
I was able to see all color combos and make a final decision based on sight, not a brochure or paint swatch.

Sloan is my salesman, and he's been great.
I don't blame him really, and not even the dealership I guess...... just the punk who buffed my car.
And what the heck are they buffing a brand new car for anyway?
Too lazy to wax by hand? WTF???

As for my twin above.... NICE!
I love the choice I made.
It looks great during the day, and has a whole new look at night.

Yep, I can understand not wanting a new car to go through a wash, but to ask the dealer to "not prep" the car? Now that's getting very weird. If they can't handle that without damaging the vehicles, they shouldn't be in business....my .02

Thought that was a given?

Is that a "J" on your car, or is the swirl the white lines going through the J?

Telephone pole reflection.

That would have been one hell of a swirl mark!

Good eye.... yeah, that's a telephone reflection.
If that was the mark, I would have seen that at midnight without lights!
