WHats faster off the line to use DS mode or 1st gear when using the sport shifter on the auto?

And is it better to take off the tracktion control button to provent the slip i believe its called DVT, located on the left of the dash board? i could be wrong

"Off the line" should be no difference whatsoever - at redline there may be a difference (can't remember if DS will shift at redline or before).

It's VDC, and yes - if it's on and detects wheelspin, it'll start slowing down that wheel. This does not lead to an optimal start...

So its better to turn off the VDC so that way you dont get a wheel spin. OK thanks i was wondering why i was getting a wheel slip when i punch it off the line thanks

It's called VDC. VDC is used to prevent slip, but of course I guess you could turn VDC off and manually feather the accelerator.

Sorta OT: According to the FSM, when the auto tranny is in M, the torque converter locks up in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gears. When in D, the torque coverter locks only in 5th, and "slip-locks" in 3rd and 4th. I've always wondered what effect the torque converter has on putting power to the ground: Would you be putting more power to the ground when the torque converter is 1) locked up, 2) slip locked, or 3) unlocked? Or does it make no difference? Anyway, from personal online research, it seems that an unlocked torque converter is better for acceleration (better torque multiplication and thus putting more power to the ground?) and is worse for fuel efficiency. I do know that when you are accelerating in any given gear at any given speed, your rpms will be higher when the torque converter is unlocked.

With that being said and to answer your question, I would think 1st gear would be the same, whether the tranny is in M, DS, or D. The torque converter is unlocked in 1st gear regardless of what mode the tranny is in, and all modes allow to you rev up to redline.

No, it's better to turn off VDC because it's okay to have a little wheelspin, but if VDC detects it, it will hit that brake / slow down the engine to stop it. That slows you down, and slows down your launch.
