XM Activation

I ran a search, but I couldn't find this one. My dealer told me I needed to call XM to setup the 3 month sub, and when I called XM they told me I needed to have the dealer do it. I'm not into the BS games.....I looked on the forums and all I could find was the Canadian version of how to set it up online. Does anyone have the version for the states?? Thanks a mil.

You CAN activate it yourself, just have the radio ID ready.

XM gave me the same crap when I first called. The CS lady said the same thing, about having the dealer call them to activate, or to submit some sale paperwork. It was all BS.

I called back again and spoke to another lady who was very helpful and activated the 3month trial with no problems. I guess it depends who you talk to on the phone, but just have your XM radio ID handy. Good luck.

My trial was activated when I picked up the car. The salesman helped me set up the bluetooth to my RAZR and then we did a handsfree call to XM Radio and we set up the radio to my existing account and activated the free 3 month trial. My trial is ending and I just called today to put it on a 3 year family plan at $6.99/month and prepaid for the 3 years. I'm protected against price increases for the 3 years and I can get a prorated refund if I decide to cancel at any time.

The 3 month trial includes NAVtraffic. It's a seperate service, but included. Just tell them you purchased an 07 Infiniti G35.

Sorry. I meant to ask G35MD if he got NavTraffic included for 6.99 a month.

My 3 month trial is about to expire so I guess I should renew it. I got excited when I saw that 6.99 a month but I assume it was an add-on receiver and without NavTraffic.

6.99 is only if you already have another primary radio and you are adding your G35 radio as a family plan. The additional for NavTraffic is 3.99 a month, but I decided not to continue it after the trial as my commute is reverse and I fortunately only see green on my freeway route most of the time. If NavTraffic could give info about local streets then I would continue it, but right now I only get info for freeways. It can always be added again at a later time.
