Trip to dealer...oil change, alignment, seats

Yesterday I took my car in for its 2nd oil change and brought along my own 5 qt. bottle of Mobile 1 which they used with no problem. I also mentioned that my heated seats were not working as expected and mentioned the chips that have accumulated in the grill over the first 5k miles.

They have ordered new parts for the seats and and a new grill for me without any questions. They did do a free alignment on my car because they said they noticed some uneven tire wear. After getting home I looked over the alignment spec sheet and it said "2006 G35X" on it. Since I own a 2007 G35s I am wondering if the wrong specs were used, does anyone know if the alignment specs are the same for a 2006 x and a 2007 S? Other than that the dealer experience was great.

You actually got a new grill due to the chips that you got from flying debris from driving? or was there another reason why your grill has chips?

A new grill was ordered although I haven't recieved it yet. There were quite a few rock chips on it as has been discussed here before.

That is great!. I only have 1k on my G35 but I have about 4 big chips on my grill due to debris form driving on the highway. When I go for my 1st oil change I'll request a new grill....let's hope my infiniti dealer in Norwood MA is as nice as yours.

Let me know what they say and do. This is where I bought my G and I also called them about the chips in my Grill. Like most they are waiting to see what Infiniti will do about it. I see no point putting in the same grill if it's going to chip again like the old one.

I would consider chips on plastic grills to be a common occurence. There is always going to be debris flying towards your car. (If you drive it enough) It has happended on my previous vehicles.
Sometimes debris will land on your grill, other times it will land on your windshield and others on your headlights. One of them is bound to chip or crack.
What I find interesting is that there might be a chance that they will replace it. I never thought of doing that with my 2005 Volvo. I would have thought that the dealer would tell me that it is my fault due to my driving enviroment.
Keep in mind I'm talking about a chip and NOT a crack on the grill.

My dealer service rep suggested contacting Infiniti and getting everyone else I know to do the same. He claims that they are much more sensitive to customer complaints directly than to dealer's relayed complaints.
