07 - Factory fill oil brand ?

So does anyone know what oil is factory filled on our 07 Gs ?
Its probably a 5W-30 dino ..... but any idea on the brand ?

I will be getting an oil analysis done @~3500 when the factory oil gets changed and would be good to know the exact oil used.

Dealer doesn't know this

Tell me about it, my dealer told me it was a fully synthetic Mobil 1 fill. I am very skeptical of this as well.

I thought most of the other VQ35 didn't like Mobil 1 that much !!
Even though our VQ is supposedly 80% new, I wouldn't want Mobil 1 in it !!

Seen a bunch of UOAs on other forums that showed more wear with VQ+Mobil 1
(OTOH, most Toyota engines seem to love M1)

No first hand experience from my side though.

You send a sample of oil to a lab for analysis - based on that you understand how your oil works with your driving style etc.

Blackstone labs is one place where they do it ... see this site for more on oil analysis.

There have been some analysis showing elevated wear when using M1 on VQ35 engines -- that's what makes me think that this combo is not good -- dunno why this happens - but it does.

GTX is a really good dino oil (as in non-synthetic - petroleum based).

In any case, if you are changing your oil regularly, most engines would last for 150K+ miles easily on dino or synthetic.
