Holy G's in Houston...

I live in the Chicago suburbs and have only seen one new G on the road beside mine.

So this week I'm in Houston for training, and I must've seen a half dozen. Several different Black Obsidians (different drivers, different types of tint) and there is a beautiful Serengeti Sand in the lot outside my hotel. Overall, the car culture in Houston is quite unbelievable. I see lots of 'nice' cars, and even a Bentley Conti on dubs today. Wow.

I have a Black Obsidian 2007 G35 Journey, and I live in Houston. I wonder if you saw me driving mine. Are you staying in the Galleria area by any chance?

Lots of people think Houston is a lot of cowboys, probably riding horses, wearing holstered six-guns on their belts, with tumbleweeds rolling through the streets. As you can see, the people who think that are way wrong.

LOL - I live in Houston, and at work there are two other '07 Gs parked within 100 yards of mine. Mine is best of course...

I have been seeing a lot of sedans lately. There seems to be a lot of owners in the Sugar Land area and especially on Westheimer. Haven't seen any modded yet other than mine. I would like to have a 07 sedan meet. That would be nice

I'm actually staying just off of Westheimer west of Sam Houston. In addition to the vehicular eye candy around here, there are soooo many restaurants!

Let's see - best restaurant around there for you to visit is Currascos, which is just East on Westheimer (W'heimer and Gessner). They have great food (and good mojitos )

If you get really adventurous, and want to drop some coin, Brenners at (I-10 and Sam Houston has good food, and right now is the weather to book outside.

And finally, Le Peep has good huevos. We used to live over there

Yea, we eat out a lot here in Houston.

If you like cajun food, there is a restaurant called Rajin Cagin on Gessner, just north of Westheimer. It is not too far from you. I am not sure, but you may not get a lot of good cajun food in Illinois. Try the shrimp and chicken gumbo. It is quite good.

Wait till you see the hidden gem's like the 1000 hp supra's and turbo viper and stuff. I live in new orleans but i go to houston like it i stay there. Houston has some pretty neat stuff.

True dat. Houston and Dallas are Texas' version of Los Angeles and New York City. Both are very diverse and have so much going on. My girl and I go to either one of those cities every six weeks just for the hell of it.

BTW, aren't there 4 Infiniti dealerships in the Houston area?

Don't forget Lupe Tortillas on Hwy6 near I-10. Best fajitas around but you have to go to this location and not the others. I have tried them all and the original Lupes is better than the rest!

Thanks for the kind words for Houston! We are actually a different animal than Dallas. Houston is fairly conservative and laid back while Dallas would be more "yuppy" and fast paced.

My wife just picked up her Ivory Pearl G35s last week. We are loving it. I did notice that two more sedans were in my neighborhood (copper lakes area) and I saw two G35s sedans enter the StoneGate neighborhood this week. Plenty on the road.

I live in LA, haha, so I have to chime in. I go to this upscale grocery place (not because I'm rich, but because it's two blocks from my apartment complex). 80% of that parking lot will be composed of BMWs, Benzes and Lexuses. You get a few practical cars like the Camry, and then you get the exotics. I've seen plenty of Porsches, a Lotus Exige, and a Ferrari once. I guess even rich people need to eat.
