Strange bluetooth issue.

I'm having a little problem with my bluetooth that I'm not exactly sure what to do. I had a motorola Q when i first picked the car up and the bluetooth worked great. The contacts transered and all the voice commands worked properly. The other day I traded my phone for a palm treo 700W and everything seemed fine as well. I started beamin contacts last night and adding some voice commands and thats where i noticed the problmes. When i was receiving a call from one person it came up as another name. Then somoene else called me and it came up as that same name which was also wrong. Then i tried the voice dial and it called the completly wrong person. Is this a known problem with the treo or something?

Anyone have any info on this please help.

My wife and I both have 700Ws and everything works as advertised...almost.

1. I was only able to beam a single contact to the directory. As in, as soon as I beamed the second contact, the first one was erased. Consider yourself lucky that you are able to beam more than one.

2. Then, just yesterday, I call my wife from the house and she ask me where I am. I tell her "At home" and she replies, "What is (281) 345-2345 number?" (Not our home number). Weird. I will try again today and see what happens.

Like I said, it works as advertised for the most part.

yea mark that second issue you stated is basicly what im having, the Q worked perfect however. I wonder if it is because the 700 uses windows mobile 3.1 and the Q was 5.1.

that number thing can be bad though, thats the kind of crap that makes divorces happen.

Did you try completely deleting all the information from your previous phone and maybe even this one and starting over? Just a thought?!?! I gave up on the voice commands for the phone, the car just deletes them at will- I dont know what I did to **** it off...

The Palm uses WM 3 for an operating system? If it were WM 5, the fix is to adjust how the device is beaming your contacts (one at a time or the entire phonebook). There is software that has better bluetooth implementation than the one built into WM 5. Since it's using WM 3, I'm not sure.
