It's basically taking the right mirror (objest appear closer than they really are) and putting it on driver's side. It's more convex.

I think he might just have the GPS mounted to the windshield with the standard suction cup that comes with the system. I have the same Garmin model (looks like a C330), and I usually put mine here as well. I like it better than having it right in the middle of the windshield.

Sheesh, I didn't know there were blind spots. Maybe that is why I routinely get the bird and hear screeching tires behind me.
