Does the G not have an indicator on the dash when you turn on your lights? Only when you use the high beams? That's so weird. I kept on turning my car on and off thinking it was broken, but the manual did not say anything about it. Please help, as every car I've been in has some sort of dash light telling you if the headlights are on or not. Thanks.

 

i have an 06 coupe and when your lights are on your clock lights up.....that is the only way i know to tell if your lights are on.

 

Yeah but the 07' sedan is different.

 

I always use the auto headlights on, so I never worry about it .

The only car i've been in that did that was an '06 subaru outback I had as a rental. None of my past cars had an indicator telling your lights were on. My wife's sentra and new '07 subaru forester don't either. I think it's a little more unusual to actually have a lights on indicator than otherwise. Especially since in most cars that don't regularly have illuminated gauges basically just turn on dash illumination when the headlights are on.

 

Nothing on the dash. I check the overhead led's. Though I am starting to manually turn my lights on and off since the automatic system that determines when to turn the lights on and off is completely archaic. One of the minor frustrations, that I overlook as a "rush to production" oversight.

 

Not directly on the dash, but I can tell when it is on.
There are many places to look for.
Just look at where you insert the CD. THere are 2 small, plastic trim along the CD door, it will light up when the head light is on. A lot of things light up when the headlight is on. It's just the matter of how much you pay attention to every single detail of your car

 

Thanks...the suggestion of the analog clock lighting up is actually a good one...finally have some use for that clock.

 

I can usually tell when my head lights are not on by the fact I can't see when driving down the road.

 

The nav screen goes into night mode.... I also use auto - I like it.
Do you have a G? Or is this a deal breaker? LOL.

I think the dash board is not as bright. The dashboard dims down.

 

anyone know if you can turn on the lights without dimming the dashboard? handy for when driving in the rain and gotta have lights on with wipers, but it's still bright enough out to want the dash not dimmed...

 

I think you can turn off the auto feature under settings. I'm not too sure though.
