Automatic window up feature not working on rear windows

Hello all,

My auto up feature for the rear windows stopped working today. Not sure what happened but no switch in the car can do it. Has anyone had this problem with their car? Was it a fuse or something more sinister? Your help is appreciated.

I feel lately coming from reliable cars without fault (Honda/Subaru) that Infiniti just doesn't get what the words means. I just got my car back on Tuesday for a transmission that would clunk and grind. Maybe I'll have to drop it off again. Joy.

Anyone experience the same problem with their windows?

Chris

BTW, when you disconnect the battery, you have to go through one complete cycle for the auto feature to re-learn the end points.

Run them up and down a couple of times - that should fix it.

That's the truth, try to find someone that owned a 1998 Civic Si 5MT without major transmission problems. My Si spent more time in the shop than it did in my garage because the main bearing ring snapped twice.

As for my 99 Civic EX (which was the Canadian Si), I never had one single problem in the 5 years and 80,000 miles I had it. Zero. That was with a manual as well.

I've had 3 Subarus, granted not as long as my Honda, but I only had one issue where the rad fan stuck on. New ECU and it was fixed.

on the other hand, one of my co-workers has had two (that's right two) engine replacements in his wife's old subaru outback. They dumped the car and got a mazda 6 wagon instead. The thing was a piece of crap.

Now, i like subaru (my wife just bought an '07 forester) but it's not like they're perfect. No car manufacturer is. Just because you've had good luck with honda and subaru, and then buy one infiniti and have problems doesn't make infiniti bad. A lot of people have problems with honda, subaru, and toyota/lexus even (the #1 manufacturer in terms of least number of problems according to JD power).

I'm just saying you can't judge a company by one car you own...All car company has their shares of problems...You can't say Infiniti sucks just because the one you own has problems...I work on Hondas all the time but it doesn't mean it sucks...There's a lot of infiniti owners that don't have a single problem on their cars...

I have the same problem on my Sport. The rear right window would not Auto Up.

My car is schedule to be serviced this coming Thursday to correct the following problems:
  • SOW CD Player won't eject CDs - they said they're going to replace the head unit. This correction, however, will erase all the music files that I have transferred to the hard drive. Also, I think my other settings (convenience, navi, etc.) will have to be set again.
  • Heated Seat (passenger side) switch/temperature issue - TSB is out in Canada. Dealer didn't know until Infiniti Canada called them after I complained.
  • Sunroof finisher loose
  • Rear right window won't auto up
Hopefully all the above problems will get fixed.
