Difference btw Journey and Sport?

Hi,

So I know all the spec differences between the Journey and Sport models, but I'm curious how they actually differ in terms of driving characteristics. I've only driven the Sport model. So for somebody that has driven both, how does the handling of the Journey compare? Also, what about manually shifting the Journey vs. using the paddle shifters? (besides the obvious...)

Thanks.

I have driven both. I test drove the Sport and bought the Journey with the sport wheels and tires. Just because of the look. To me there is not enough diff. to warrant spending the extra money. The only real diff. is the seats in the sport. They seem a little tighter more like a racing seat. If I"m correct the sport seats are 13 point seats and the journey are 9. Other then that not much to me.

Correct. 6MTs are only available as Sports. As for the difference in suspension, there's not too much of a diff in terms of ride and comfort, but believe me, you can feel a difference when you approach the limits of adhesion in terms of sporty driving. Non-sports exhibit a bit more squat, dive and lean when you're putting the car through its paces. I drove a Journey w/ sport tires and a sport AT back to back at work and felt enough of a difference to realize which is which. 80% of the time I'm sure most drivers wouldn't be able to detect a difference, but at 8/10-10/10s, Sport models definitely feel more composed.

Pretty sure he means shifting the auto, since he referenced paddles.

Definatley the Sport is more Sure footed when driving it hard through the Twisties! And if you want Better Braking the Sport comes with the 13 Inch Discs all around, and don't forget the LSD in the Rear!

With regards to the actual suspension of the two models, there has not been any indication that there are any differences at all.

And the Sport seats.
You'd be hard pressed to find more comfortable stock/OEM seats.

I'm struggling with this same question now. The Sport looks like it is well worth the additional outlay. But, the available wood trim that the Journey can have looks really classy to me.

I wish Infiniti would just make it easy for me and make the wood available in the Sport model.

LSD, Seats (driver & passenger), side sills, front bumper, paddle shifters, and that extra 100 HP - definitely worth the $$.

Side sills - that little flare out under the doors...
Hmm maybe i'm wrong, but I thought the S had a little larger sills/flare.
