god damn edmunds jinxed me

Im pretty sure it was the updated review from edmunds that somoene posted the other day. The whole review basicly bashed the clutch and everyone complained of this creaking noise the clutch was making. Well i know i never heard that on my car before so i figured it was maybe a protype model with a few bugs. Well i figured wrong, because today my freakin clutch started creaking. It was moderate and not consistant at first so i figured it was like my shoe rubbing or something, but then it started happening more and more and you can actually feel it as well. Im pretty damn pissed about this, especially since i put my wheels on today and everything was going so good until this.

Does this happen to anyone else?

How many miles do you have on it now? Just curious since mine is still really new and only has about 1300 miles on it.

Sorry to hear that logik. Didn't mean to jinx you with that post. I found it very peculiar that there were so many comments about that problem since I thought it didn't happen to us 'real' everyday G drivers but sounds like it may very well be a real issue that Infiniti needs to address.

I've got the 6spd S like you so this is definitely another one of those things I gotta keep an eye out for.

Keep us posted on your issue and also what Infiniti says about it.

I have about 2580 miles on my car rite now. Its pretty damn annoying that this is happening. I know its not a major issue, but its just a pain that a brand new car is doing this.

I haven't noticed it yet but I will make sure I pay attention. I was assuming (and hoping) that you had more miles than that when it showed up.

Before forums, it wasn't nearly as easy to get paranoid about potential car problems

I still managed, though.

the clutch pedal in my 05 coupe would make a popping noise sometimes. i'd have to take it to the dealer and they would replace something in the pedal. after that it'd go away for about 5,000 miles. is this what you're experiencing?

no but my coupe did what you are talking about. My noise is more like a rubbing sound. Doesnt happen everytime but you can hear it when it does....even yesterday my girlfriend said while i was parking "what the hell was that".

I'm at nearly 6k miles on my 6MT and haven't had any "creaking" noise in the clutch. I just have the vibration that transmits through the pedal and shifter.

Well it won't be so great if it starts making all kinds of creaking/squeaking noises at such low miles like people are reporting. I can totally sympathize with your frustration about this.

I hope that this issue is something that can be fixed by infiniti if it becomes a common problem for all of the first gen 07 V36 G's.

My clutch pedal just started creaking at around 42,000 miles ('03 sedan). Are the transmissions significantly different between the 03 and 07?

Mine did it from 750 mile to about 2700 miles and then it went away. It does not do it now and I forgot to even mention it when I went in for my first oil change. For me, it felt like it was coming from the pedal rather than the arm or spring. I'll be sure to post if it pops up again, but I never mentioned it because I thought it was minor. I agree with mkaresh, it easy to start mass paranoia by getting hung up on every little issue.
