Distance to empty 497 mile

I wish I took a picture after I filled up yesterday, I have picked up 100 miles per tank since winter has gone bye bye. There was even a portion of my trip that the distance to empty and trip. together exceeded 500 miles. Now its lingering in the high 480 range, I am VERY pleased with this spike in improved fuel economy. Perhaps completed break in has something to do with it, I am nearly at 9k miles, I can't explain it but I am not complaining!

I don't have as many miles on my G as you do, but I too have noticed a significant increase in fuel economy. No complaints from me either.

Wow amazing. I got roughly 2000 miles on mine and the most I get is 400 miles per tank. Cant wait till the spike. I definitely need it considering all the traveling I do.

BTW, how many miles you got on your G?

I've got about 5800 KMs (or 3600 miles) on my G now.

Sounds like an improvement over the older G. That benefits both you and Infiniti. Think if the VVEL system was employed on the 3.5L. After Automobile mag dynoed the new coupe, they received 27 mpg (highway, I'm sure) on their way back to their HQ. That's darn good considering the VQ's history.

And just to give you an idea of my fuel consumption, yesterday I put on over 200 KMs on my G during a family day out yesterday. The entire trip was virtually all back roads with varying speeds and lots of hills, and I averaged 9.2 L/100 kms. That is 30.7 mpg (imperial gallons) or 25.6 mpg (US gallons). Not too shabby at all IMO.

I've got two road trips planned for this summer, but I don't think there is any way that I'll hit 10k miles by the end of November. I work a good portion of the time from home so my mileage is kept pretty low.

These threads are making me jealous of anyone that doesn't spend all their time driving on relatively highly populated city streets. I would be quite excited to see 550Km to empty. At 500 miles I'd die from the shock.

Damn I got 258 miles on my last tank in my 05. I must be doing something wrong. Or maybe it is right depending on your prospective.

I'm getting between 325 and 345 between tanks, with 2012 on the car.
