Who's Paid Cash?

Just throwing this out there, but is there anyone else that's just laid down cash for their G?

paid in actual cash or buying outright? i bought it outright, and when i went to do it i had more than half of it in cash, and they told me you could not pay more than 5000 in cash anywhere in north america(though im sure loads of places would do it anyway)

I couldn't pay cash, I had to get a cashiers check from the bank.

Yep, I did. For my "G", my wife's Camry and the GMC Sierra. I also bought my Harley that way. AND, I just retired at the beginning of March; I sold my old house, and bought my new one for Cash. No mortgage for the first time in my life since my 20s. BTW, I'm 68.

you can pay cash, but they notify the IRS of the transaction, if it was cash, cashier's check etc. Just for the fact that you came in with that much in liquid assets and bought the vehicle. A while ago they caught a drug dealer like that cause he bought a lincoln in cash, crashed it and came back the next day to get another one of the same car in cash again.... OOOOPSSSSS...lol

if you literally mean CASH, you can't pay more than $10,000 without the company having to file a CTR or Cash Transaction Report. That doesn't mean you can't do it.... it's just that most dealers and most dealers' banks don't like having to deal with CTRs.
