actually, it sounds like you got a rare mistake. first time i've heard of this problem on here.

just let the dealership fix it IF YOU HAVE CONFIDENCE THEY CAN. If they **** it up, hey it's still under warranty right?

Quote: How long did it take you to do that? I only have 650 miles on the car right now. Damm, I am not happy with Infiniti's build qualities.
First time took me a while... as always when you don't know what you're doing you take it slow. Nowadays I can take most of the front of the car apart in 15 minutes...

I've had my car for 5 1/2 months and I'm not scared of taking it apart... chances are if you learn how to do it then you can fix whatever happens down the road when you're out of warranty.

Here are pics of my loaner. I don't think it's a issue. Move your head and it will adjust how it looks.

Dash looks too high here

and here

But bring yourself to a normal seating position on the passenger side and it looks just right

I agree that you can move your camera high enough so that you dont notice the issue. But, no. I took the same picture at the same angle as wrxrocks and my trim lines up perfectly, and his does not. But it's really hard to tell from just pictures alone I suppose.

In addition to everything I read, call 1-800-662-6200 and open up a complaint file regarding this issue. I don't care if the car cost 40k or 15k, a misalignment like that is completely unacceptable. Open up a complaint file and follow their advice. It will most likely be to allow service to fix it but at least then you have your situation documented. In addition, that will allow you to request an infiniti rep come out to look at your car if you are not completely satisfied.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. You have the point. But I am not happy how these pitures look. I can move the camera to the moon so California is only 1/4 inch from New York. Do you see my point now.

Thanks for supporting me. I like how your car put together. I wish mine is just like your so I can enjoy it. I will see what Infiniti can do for me. This is not the end if the trimings of my car don't match up and they can fix it. Here are two more picture. The second picture, on the driver side, they match up perfectly. That what the other should and must be .

I hear what you are saying. I'm more worried about why they designed the dash to be closer to you than the curve on the door.

I retract my statement, wow that is way off. I know everyone is saying it's the dash, but the dash looks like one big piece. I think that the door is probably the one that is out of whack.

I am hoping it is the door that is the problem. I don't think so because the outside around the door frame is very well put together. I will report back to you guys after I find out what the problems and the solutions/fix would be. I am very disappointed that this is the most expensive I have ever bought but yet the interior fit and finish is the worst. I guess, I expected too much.

I am going to try to ask them to replace all trimings with the wood ones. What do you guys think they would do? The ones that Karnidge has. All right, I am asking too much. I would be happy if they just fix it with care and attention. Thanks for your support guys.

You can see on that pic that it's the dash... it's not the door.

Your dash is lifted off one of the clips it looks like on the rear right, and you can tell because there's a sizeable gap between the dash and the door. I'm almost positive that my car doesn't have this gap...

Either that, or there's something in between the door and the dash that's pushing it up (or the door down) and causing it to be misaligned. It's possible, since I tried running wiring through there into the glovebox for my DVD player.

Just an update on the trim guys. I took the car in yesterday and just talked to them today. The tech guys could not adjust and match the trim. They are getting the Infiniti involve now.

The odd thing is that the trims on the 07 G loaner match perfectly. I have taken may pictures of the loaner's for documentation. We will see what their solution is. Thanks for your supports and will report back.

Well, I and my X , were just at the dealership on the 13th,,, I told them to see what they can do about my missaligned trim ( aluminum) they promplty told me there wasn't anything they could do So while is was waiting, I went and looked at 12 to 14 G sedans and get this,, Most of em were OFF!! the same 1/4 inch mine is!! It seemed like the rosewoods were always pretty straight,,, and only about 4 washi alu. were perfect.

I have another loaner today and it looks good to me. So, I'm 2 for 2 on the 07 washi. That dealership must have gotten a fkd up batch or something.
