I do have black seats and my Old 03' G has black leather as well but this was never an issue (I also did NOT have heated seats in my 03").

Is it coincidence?

Well, I brought my car to the dealership, and they fixed my heated seats (as indicated in Infiniti bulletin ITB07-014). I also had the voice tags issue fixed (Infiniti bulletin ITB07-015). When I picked up my car, the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) warning light didn't turn off after the initial 7 seconds of being on when the car is first started. The SRS warning light blinks continuously now. I didn't have this problem before I brought my car into the dealership. Could this be a coincidence, or could something have happened while applying the aforementioned bulletins??

Sounds like they didn't plug something back in under the seat, (which needs to be practically removed to do the heated seat fix). I'm sure the dealer will get it fixed for you quickly.

Yeah, not sure if it is a coincidence or something the dealer did while applying the heated seats TSB (if I had to put money on it, I'd guess it was something the dealer did). If so, it's somewhat disappointing that the mechanic didn't notice that the SRS warning light was blinking after they did the repair.

I'm actually traveling this week, so I may bring it to another Infiniti dealership a couple of miles from my destination, since the nearest local one from my home is about an hour away. I think it's great how you can get a loaner car from pretty much any Infiniti dealership! I assume other dealerships have plenty of experience with the heated seats repair, so if it's something that the first dealer did, another dealer ought to be able to figure it out....

Brought my car to another dealer (I happened to be nearer one at the time), and it turns out that they did have to plug a cable in under the seat and do a reset. This has made me lose a bit of confidence with the other dealership.

So there is an issue with the heated seats?
Mine is always soo hot as well, just thought it was me, or the weather...
I didnt think it could be right, the seat gets sooo hot. So what exactly is happening, is heat being sent to the seat as if the switch is on?
Thanks
J

Update

I brought my car to the dealer for a different issues and mentioned the seat. They said they would look into it. When I picked it up I forgot to follow-up on the seat, but ever sense the temperature seems much more bearable. I went on a long trip and didn't notice it. We have had some very hot days since then, and all seems better now. I will have to check if they actually did something. If not, this whole thing could be psychological.

I also have an M35X, aside from my G35 RWD, and the seats in my M work great. Never too hot and I can feel the cold air on hot days. It’s a 2007 with 350k miles and it’s my daily. Yeah ya the reason why I love the VQ motor. It’s starts like a brand new car everytime. I confirmed my G35 base has the wiring for the heated seats, when I 6mt swapped it. I was wondering if anybody knows if they put the heated seats in all the Gs and just not the switches? I was gonna just buy the switches and see if I get heated seats from it, rather than pulling the seat and looking for the wires going to the heat pads.

It's possible??? My 2008 was prewired for paddle shifters, just mounted the hardware and plugged them in.
