i think that sounds good...maybe this will lead to everyone taking pictures next to their G......we can name that thread my G and ME lol
Err, I'm also lookin' for ladies who are truly interested in their rides. Not just ladies who happen to have enough dough to come by a G and think "Oh, this will attract a lot of dudes..."
I'm looking for ladies who do what they do for THEMSELVES.
P.S. The dough that buys you a G when you're 20 and workin' at Abercrombie and Fitch and livin' with mommy and daddy...that ain't gonna cut it when you're out on your *** in the REAL WORLD with a husband and a mortgage and a real life. I'm not talkin' to those types...sorry.

WOW I think this one might have taken an ugly turn. So sorry that I didn't find this one sooner. I missed it in my few minutes of scanning in the hotel this weekend.
First, welcome Amy! There are a few of us around who are into cars. I personally hold no issue with the young ladies who are just into *cute* cars and not particularly sporty cars. There are quite a few of those around here and they are usually pretty nice. The only people I hold issue with are the ones who write the ladies off as though they know nothing.
There have been a couple of those floating around in the last 2 years but it's pretty rare and usually new folks who change their mind after they browse around for a while.
I have always liked cars though it's not always been a really active participation thing with me. I grew up around the drag strip and my stepdad raced an old Maverick for several years. I have always known about engines and how they worked, etc from hanging around the shop with my stepdad and it was a requirement at our house that you know about the major points of cars before you could drive one (something I think far too few parents require!)
As for how I came about having the G, the hubby drove me nuts for one for a while and got it finally. I thought it was OK but nothing special. Well I went on a weekend trip by myself to NC and by the time I got back I was convinced that we had to get another car. So, basically, I stole the G and almost 2 years later I sold it and ordered my '07. She has been here about a month and a half and I wouldn't trade it for much.
Well I think I have been almost as wordy as Trey so I'll wrap it up. I've been married almost 11 years (Nov) and I have one son. I will be 29 in 10 days and I stay at home full time now. Hopefully the few other ladies around here will pop up soon.

Thanks Cheryl. That's exactly the type of post I was looking for. I guess I could have PM'ed you for that, but I figured that there might be some lurkers out there who'd want to chime in too.
Take care.
