M style Carbon fiber interior trim feeler

The other day I sat in an m45 sport, i drive these cars everyday but never noticed how much i like that carbon fiber trim. I have someone who says they make it like factory. Would anyone be interested in that for the G as a replacement for the washi? I think it would look sick honestly. If i can get enough people together I think I might be able to get this guy to do it.

Sign me up.

I saw the M that Kenny had in his dealership, black with that trim and I was this close to buying it instead of the G, and the interior was one of the factors.

have your friend make you some test trim and promote it on your ride, so we can see how it looks

im sure you wont have a problem getting people to buy some sets

i miss my sedan, grant it wasnt a 2007 but it was one of a kind

Yeah we need some specifics too... is this one of those cheap stick-ons, a replacement for the washi ($$$), etc.

Eh? so it's a replacement...

you mean he's gonna go get the trim and take off the wood/washi and replace it with CF? Re-form the whole part out of CF?

It's not as easy as it sounds... I've taken the trim off the console and it's going to be expensive to form the plastic under the "aluminum" trim itself.

Well... if you could take off your trim and separate the washi from the plastic substrate, and then he could use the washi parts to make a mold, it might not be that bad.

You'd probably just need a spare trim kit or two and have people swap out if they want it. GEC did this with the LED retrofit on the Maximas... he had a couple of info screens with color LEDs and you'd send him your stock and he'd send you a modded one. Then he'd use yours for the next guy, etc.

Could work, but it still depends on whether your guy can do it.

I'd swing it by Oleg and see what he says...

Something to keep in mind, carbon fiber supply is down while the price is up.

Be glad your not building one of these... Yup, thats a 130ft, $22m hunk of CF... Not including the 11m worth of optional engines to get it to travel more than 9 knots...
