I agree on this one. I've had both. MBs are way too bright for my taste. Even the entry level CDTs sounded warmer than the MBs. But that's me...someone else way like their tweets bright.

indeed, sound quality is totally subjective, BUT if you want the system to sound "like" the SOW... mbquart is not that path...

neither is a/d/s/ (other end of the spectrum).

I like CDTs and similar speakers because they sound neutral without being too dull- all at a reasonable price point for what you're getting. but again, that's my personal preference.

but my favorite mid/bass drivers are scan-speak revelators
