Question How Does your paint feel?

Hello Guys..

I am not sure if this is a problem or I am just a bit paranoid!

When I touch the exterior of the car, It does not feel as smooth as I would expect..

There is a bit of sandy feeling to the paint.

Its rough!

Is this normal?

The paint should feel smooth. How old is your car? Ever used a clay bar before?

Sounds like it needs to be clay'd and waxed. It's amazing the difference after.

For help on using clay and more information on taking care of your car's interior and exterior, go to www.meguiars.com and www.meguiarsonline.com. Great info.

What is "Claying"?

I have never done anything to the car. Just the regular dealer checks and oil changes.

Not to sound like a broken record here, but your car could use a claying. Check the links that the others have provided and you'll get the picture. It does make a HUGE difference. I clayed mine a few weeks after getting it and the paint still feels smooth as glass...

My painted surface feels........

My painted surface feels like glass, like there's a plastic cover protecting
it from the elements! The reason it feels sooooo damn nice is because I
have been using Zymol concourse wax since it came home!

I'm jealous. I wish I could touch it. I'm sure after all that busy schedule with Pirates, she'll need her bottom clay-barred, too. Keira, if you're reading this, pick me! I'm very good with a bar of clay, among many other talents.

Goofy, the problem is that we know she won't read this message. I, on the other hand, did and I'd really rather not know what your other talents are.

Keira is so mannish though... it irks me sometimes. It's those cheekbones I think... that and her skeletal frame.
